Another suspect in the murder, MP Charles Ong’ondo Were, was arrested in Isebania near the Kenya-Tanzania border.
The suspect, identified as Isaac Kuria, was alleged to have been planning to flee the country.
According to close sources to the investigation, the suspect might have been the one who carried out the hit on the late MP before trying to escape across several counties.
Kuria is reportedly linked to criminal networks operating within Nairobi and is believed to have travelled to the CBD on the day of the murder.

According to the detectives investigating the assassination, the suspect trailed Were’s movements before fatally shooting him in traffic.
Following the murder, Kuria is said to have travelled to Mihango, where he got rid of the weapon, which has been recovered by the authorities.
He then went to Narok and from there he took a public transport to Isebania.
Detectives handling his case monitored his communications and arrested him in Isebania alongside another suspect who was found with him.
The late MP was shot dead in a traffic accident at Ngong Road near City Mortuary.
So far, the total number of suspects in police custody is 11, as efforts to get to the root of the matter by the police continue.
