He was arrested within Nairobi’s Central Business District.

Following his arrest, the suspect reportedly guided detectives to his residence in Kangemi, where a search was conducted.

During the operation, officers recovered the stolen Glock pistol, which had been concealed inside a suitcase among clothes.

Detectives also recovered 17 rounds of ammunition and two magazines believed to be linked to the firearm.

The recovered firearm and ammunition have since been secured as exhibits as investigations continue.

The suspect remains in police custody and is expected to be arraigned in court upon completion of the necessary legal procedures.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations said the successful recovery was made possible through intelligence-led policing and forensic investigations aimed at combating crime and ensuring illegally held firearms are recovered.
