Smriti Vidyarthi Exits NTV After 16 Years

Seasoned TV presenter Smriti Vidyarthi has left Nation Media Group after 16-and-a-half years.

Taking to her socials, Smriti announced her departure and expressed gratitude to viewers for their trust and support, inviting them to tune in for her final 9 PM bulletin.

“Sixteen and a half years of service to the Nation Media Group and to the nation at large. Thank you for trusting me. For now, tune in tonight at 9 PM for my last bulletin on NTV,” she wrote.

Smriti served as a news editor, anchor, and host of NTV Wild Talk, a show that showcased the country’s vast wildlife. 

While on air last night, her NTV colleagues celebrated her as one of the brilliant and professional journalists. 

“She does her work and does it professionally without fear or favour,” said Joe Ageyo Editorial Director at NMG.

Smriti however did not reveal her next career move.

Her exit moreover comes as NMG continues to make changes to fit the modern-day media landscape.
