Speaking during the launch ceremony, Vipingo Ridge CEO Alex Horsey noted that the flight connection goes beyond travel convenience and will create new economic opportunities for the county.

“This inaugural flight isn’t just about connecting destinations, it’s about creating opportunities for Kilifi County. Better access means more tourism, new investment and stronger support for local businesses,” Horsey noted.

He added that the route comes at a significant time as Vipingo Ridge celebrates 20 years as one of Kenya’s premier golf and lifestyle destinations, noting that improved accessibility will make it easier to host conferences, sporting events and support residential developments.
