Several people were injured on Wednesday night after a matatu overturned along Enterprise Road in Nairobi’s Industrial Area, opposite Nairobi Prison.
According to the Kenya Red Cross, the crash involved a public service vehicle that rolled over in what was described as a mass casualty road traffic incident.
Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene to provide first aid and assist in evacuating the injured passengers.

Witnesses said the matatu had been driven recklessly prior to the accident, with reports alleging the driver was attempting dangerous stunts.
At least six passengers were reportedly clinging to the vehicle when it lost control and overturned.
The incident adds to a series of recent road accidents in Nairobi. Just days earlier, a Mercedes-Benz caught fire after a crash near the Ole Sereni area along the Nairobi Expressway.
CCTV footage showed the vehicle veering off the fast lane, hitting a guardrail and a concrete pillar before bursting into flames.
Another vehicle trailing closely also lost control but managed to regain stability and continue.
Separately, on May 1, four people died in a fatal collision along the Narok–Bomet highway near the Tegero area.
The crash involved a lorry and a saloon car, with the lorry reportedly veering into the oncoming lane before a head-on collision that left multiple fatalities.
