Assistant Inspector General of Police Philip Kipchirchir has passed away after reportedly collapsing in his house in Chesumei, Nandi County.
According to reports, Kipchirchir, collapsed around 5 am on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Further reports indicate attempts to rush him to the nearest hospital for treatment proved futile after he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
According to Kipchirchir’s family, he suddenly fell unconscious, prompting family members to rush him to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Kipchirchir’s body was therefore moved to Samaritan Farewell Home, where it has been preserved pending a post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death.
