Nominated Senator Hezena Lemaletian has sued her former lover, Musa Leyumpa, for persistently claiming she is his wife despite her rejecting him.
Through her lawyer Danstan Omari, Hezena took legal action on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, claiming that being a planned Samburu customary wedding, it was later revoked.
The senator further revealed that Leyumpa had been violent and abusive and resorted to using social media platforms and influencers to soil her reputation, which could potentially harm her political career.
The matter is therefore set to be heard inter partes on September 22, 2025, when both parties will present their arguments on whether the orders should be extended or modified
