Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang now wants the government to involve content creators in showcasing government projects, policies and flagship development.
According to the senator, using content creators, especially those with huge followings, will be critical in empowering them and expanding the country’s digital footprint.
“Let us use content creators to talk about government projects, policies, and Konza to Kenyans, especially the youth. By giving them these tasks, we will not only be empowering them but also spreading to the world what the government is doing. If we want to create jobs for our youths, let us start by creating jobs for our content creators to tell the world and Kenyans what the government is doing, as we also continue working to give jobs to the youths ,” Chesang noted.

The senator made the remarks during the launch of Konza Technopolis on September 11, which he assured would be a vital digital powerhouse in the country.
Konza Technopolis is a 2030 flagship project under the Ministry of ICT, being developed as a science park and an area of innovation for technology.
The park, which is located 60 km from Nairobi, features a 5,000-acre city that also includes green energy projects, affordable housing, and conferencing facilities, among others.
Speaking during the same event, ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo said that the digital city will catalyse the growth of key sectors in the country, including tourism, investment, and industrialisation.
