Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has officially been stripped of his Senate Majority Whip Position.
Senate Speaker Amason Kingi confirmed the development after receiving correspondence from the ruling party on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
“From the correspondence, the minutes indicate that a resolution was passed to remove the Senate Majority Whip Boni Khalwale in accordance with standing order 225,” Kingi stated during a Senate plenary session.
Confirming the removal of Khalwale from the position, he has been replaced by Bungoma Senator Wafula Wakoli.
