Salasya Pledges to Hold Future Weddings at Mud House Built by Constituents

Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has revealed that he intends to keep the mud house built for him by his constituents.

According to him, the house holds sentimental value and will play a special role in his future family life.

In a statement, the lawmaker said he will marry all his wives from the mud house because it represents the faith, sacrifice, and support of the people who stood by him before he was elected to Parliament.

“God is so faithful. This house is so special to me and to my people. This house will never be demolished. I will marry all my wives from this house,” Salasya stated.

Salasya explained that despite constructing a larger modern house, he has no plans to bring down the modest house because it reminds him of his humble beginnings and the journey he has taken in politics.

The mud house was built in 2022 after residents of Mumias East came together to help him when they realised he did not have a house of his own during his parliamentary campaign.

“By the grace of God, I stand humbled and grateful for His faithfulness. In 2022, my constituents came together in unity and helped construct this house. Their kindness and support reminded me that when God unites His people, great things are possible,” Salasya wrote.

Despite that, the MP is currently putting the finishing touches on a new mansion at his rural home.
