Oketch Salah has broken his silence after EALA MP Winnie Odinga commented on his remarks about the late Raila Odinga’s final moments.
In a statement on Wednesday, January 28, Salah said he watched Winnie’s interview on Citizen TV and initially chose to remain quiet out of respect.
However, he noted that some of Winnie’s remarks need clarification, and he plans to respond in an upcoming interview.

Salah reiterated that he stands by everything he shared about the late Raila Odinga’s final moments.
The response came after Winnie Odinga criticized Oketch Salah’s claim that he was present during her father’s final moments, calling it a lie and raising serious questions about his intentions.
She said claiming to have been there when he was not, and speaking about events that did not occur, is dangerous and concerning.
The EALA MP added that Salah’s statements were so troubling they warranted medical or criminal scrutiny and suggested he should be rushed to either Mathare or the DCI immediately.
Notably this comes days after Salah said he was with Raila Odinga from the onset of his illness until his final moments.
He clarified that his account was not intended for sympathy or political gain but simply to state the truth.
Salah also revealed that he and Raila had extensive private conversations during that period, but he stressed that his silence on their content was out of respect for the late leader and his family.
