Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has suspended the County Chief Officer for Urban Planning, Patrick Analo.
This comes after he was implicated in a Ksh65.3 million graft case with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
As a result, Sakaja has appointed Dominic Mutegi to the position in an acting capacity, effective immediately.
In a statement on Friday, June 5, Sakaja also revealed that he suspended the county’s Urban Planning Technical Committee while announcing the changes.

According to reports, this comes shortly after EACC also wrote a letter to City Hall demanding the immediate suspension of the CEC in line with Regulation 25 of the Leadership and Integrity Regulations, 2015, and Section 43 of the Conflict of Interest Act 2025.
According to Sakaja, Analo has been denied access to his office and will also be barred from accessing or managing any documents on behalf of the county during pending investigations.
“The County Chief Officer, Urban Planning, Patrick Akivaga Analo, is immediately suspended pending the conclusion of the investigation,” Sakaja stated.
“The officer will not be allowed to access his office or any official documents or systems during this period. Mr. Dominic Mutegi, the Director of Development Management, shall act in this capacity effective immediately,” he added.
“Corruption has no place in public service. Every public officer is individually accountable for their actions and must be prepared to answer to the law where allegations of wrongdoing arise,” the Nairobi Governor further said.
This comes a day after EACC officers raided Analo’s home, recovering over Ksh65.3 million in cash as well as other goods, including title deeds and laptops, among others.
