The discussions centred on expanding trade and investment opportunities, with particular focus on increasing market access for Kenyan agricultural exports in Serbia.

Ruto also held talks with Irakli Kobakhidze, where the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening trade and tourism relations between Kenya and Georgia.

He later travelled to Astana for bilateral discussions with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the visit, Kenya and Kazakhstan signed several cooperation agreements covering ICT and e-government services, agriculture, transport and infrastructure, finance, tourism, climate action, mining, exploration, and space technology.

While in Kazakhstan, President Ruto was awarded the Order of Dostyk, First Degree, one of the country’s highest state honours, in recognition of his role in advancing diplomatic and bilateral ties between the two nations.

Following his return, the President is expected to begin a five-day development tour across the Coast region, where he will inspect and launch a series of infrastructure projects.

Part of the tour will include the issuance of title deeds in Mombasa for residents from all six coastal counties.

In Lamu, the Head of State is scheduled to commission the Kizingitini Fish Market, inspect the Hindi Modern Market, and launch the construction of the A7 Junction Safirisi–Ndeu road.

The President will also visit Kilifi to preside over the groundbreaking of the Tezo–Kakanjuni road, commission the Mariakani Power Sub-Station, and oversee the laying of foundation stones for modern markets in Kaloleni, Ganze, and Nyali.
