Ronaldo Gives Surprising Statement On 1000 Goals Milestone

Crstiano Ronaldo scored twice as he sealed the victory for Al Nassr in the 88th minute with a penalty, securing a 3-1 win on the road. This result propelled Al Nassr to third place with 54 points from 26 matches, just three points behind second-place Al Hilal (57).

Al-Nassr opened the scoring before the interval when Ali Al Hassan curled a shot past goalkeeper Yassin Bono. Ronaldo made it 2-0 two minutes after the break with a precise shot after a pass from Sadio Mane.

Reigning champions Al-Hilal tried to fight back playing on the counter attack and reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute through Ali Al Bulayhi’s close-range header after a corner.

Cristiano Ronaldo delivered an outstanding performance and ensured that his team remained in the title race as he also discussed about his 1000 goals milestone.

“Let’s enjoy the moment, the present. I’m not chasing 1,000 goals. If it is, yes, perfect, if it’s not, then no. The moment is the most special thing, not what it’s gonna come. I enjoyed the moment, it was a great win, not because I scored— I’m happy to score two goals against Al Hilal— but the most important it’s to win the derby,” Cristiano Ronaldo said to the reporters.

“We played against a fantastic team away.” Ronaldo added. “It’s always difficult, and we have to appreciate (the moment) and we have to continue because nine games left, with one more in the Champions League, everything is possible. We have to continue and believe,” he ended his statement.
