Ronaldo Bags Brace in the Al Nassr Comeback

Cristiano Ronaldo took it upon himself in the second half to secure victory for his team, scoring two goals.

He netted a sensational brace against Al-Riyadh, keeping Al-Nassr competitive in the Saudi Pro League title race. After conceding a goal in the first half, Ronaldo’s impressive performance in the second half helped Al-Nassr mount a comeback. With these goals, he reached a remarkable total of 933 goals in professional football.

Al-Riyadh’s Faiz Selemani opened the scoring in the first half’s extra time with a rebound goal. However, Ronaldo stepped up in the second half. He scored his first goal in the 56th minute, tapping in after a perfect pass from former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.

Just eight minutes later, the 40-year-old scored a stunning volley, sending the ball into the top corner to give Al-Nassr a 2-1 lead.

This season, Ronaldo has been in phenomenal form, scoring 32 goals and providing 4 assists so far.

He has an incredible opportunity to become the first player to score 1,000 professional goals. However, he recently stated that he is not obsessed with reaching that milestone.

“Let’s enjoy the moment… I’m not chasing 1,000 goals as an obsession,” Ronaldo said. “If it happens, perfect. If it doesn’t, it’s okay!”

The Al-Nassr star emphasized that living in the present is crucial for him, as he doesn’t want to add unnecessary pressure at this stage of his career.

“The moment is the most special thing — not what’s going to come. Guys, let’s enjoy the present for now,” he added.
