Former Deputy President’s son Keith has accompanied him to high court ahead of his impeachment hearing.
The hearing took place at the Milimani law courts.
The former Deputy President had deteriorated relation with President William Ruto.

An impeachment motion was filed against him under 11 grounds.
Rigathi Gachagua denied the charges but was found guilty after 282 MPs voted him out and accused him of misconduct and violation of the constitution.
Gachagua took the matter to the Senate where he appeared and pleaded not guilty of the 11 charges filed against him.
During his 2nd hearing at the Senate, Gachagua fell ill and had been hospitalized.
The Senate still went ahead with the impeachment and impeached him making Gachagua to step out of the office.
Gachagua’s legal team therefore filed a petition while he was still hospitalized and suffering from chest pains on 19th October.
Justice Chacha Mwite suspended the Senates resolution to impeach him.
According to the petition, a three-judge bench was established and the hearing set to 22nd October.
Gachagua’s lawyers were not informed about the date of the hearing.
During the hearing, Gachagua was accompanied by his son who sat beside as he listened to the proceedings.
Keith had also stood by him at hearing at the Senate as he listened closely the same way which amazed a lot of Kenya’s who felt family was the most important things.
