Rev. Kodia Advocates Tougher Measures Against Economic Embezzlers

Bondo Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese Bishop Reverend David Kodia has called for the construction of more prisons in Kenya to detain those involved in economic embezzlement.

Speaking on Wednesday, December 17, at JKLive, Bishop Kodia argued that the country needs prisons rather than additional stadiums to hold individuals plundering the economy.

He also criticized investigative agencies, claiming they are not functioning effectively, and alleged that corruption has permeated every system in the country, including the Judiciary.

Bishop Kodia warned that Kenya risks losing the fight against corruption, urging citizens to reflect on their own roles in addressing the issue.

He also highlighted Kenya’s potential for growth, noting that the country is wealthy, rich in resources, and has a highly educated population capable of driving national development, with numerous universities producing graduates each year.

His remarks follow months after he received a standing ovation during the State Funeral of the late Raila Odinga at Nyayo Stadium.

During the service, Bishop Kodia delivered a sermon in which he called out leaders accused of misappropriating public resources, stressing that those who misuse public funds should be condemned and held accountable.
