Raila Odinga’s adopted son Oketch Salah has warned Ruto Odinga against fighting with her brother ODM Party Leader Oburu Odinga.
In a statement on February 19, 2026, ,Salah urged Ruth Odinga to respect Oburu Odinga who took over the Orange Democratic Party after Late Raila Odinga death.
“You should stop fighting your elder brother, who is the current party leader,” Salah stated.
“Dr. Oburu Odinga did not simply assume a position; he carries a responsibility, and Baba entrusted me, in good faith, to work with him. If you allow your elder brother to be put on the chopping board today, do not be surprised if tomorrow it is your turn,” he added.
Salah revealed that he was the one who convinced Baba for Ruth to join them in India.
“For the record, I am the one who convinced Baba to have you join us in India… I am also the one who arranged your business class ticket on Emirates. The only reason why I came back to Kenya was because Baba asked me to, so that I could prepare for my son’s wedding,” Salah said.
He further insisted that Raila wanted to endorse Ruto for a second term.
