The former Prime Minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga, has called for solutions to issues affecting the country.
Speaking during a meeting in Homabay County attended by Governor Gladys Wanga, Raila stated that Kenya has been in a situation of conflict where the solutions have not yet been applied.
Among the issues that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga cited was corruption, denial of rights to engage, assemble and demonstrate, and rising cases of abductions.
“We have seen people being murdered and being killed. These are very worrying developments in our country that we must put to an end”, Raila said.

The former PM also stated that allocation of resources in the county should be done equitably, tribalism and discrimination should stop as men and women should be treated equally.
Raila added that more resources should be added to counties and whereas the countries should deal with issues like health infrastructure development.
“Many Kenyans are suffering because of the introduction of SHA. This is something that needs to be resolved so that people can get proper treatment”, he further said.
