The Public Service Commission (PSC) has warned the public against a job scam circulating on WhatsApp.
In a statement released on Saturday, May 3, 2025, the commission cautioned Kenyans against sending money to individuals posing as PSC staff offering fake jobs.
“Beware of fake jobs circulating online, especially on WhatsApp. Kindly note that these are fraudsters posing as PSC staff demanding bribes for nonexistent jobs and promotions”, PSC stated.
The commission assured the public that PSC recruitment is FREE, transparent and merit-based.
They further urged all job seekers to verify all job postings on their website or the official Commission’s social media platforms.
The latest development comes after a job advertisement dated April 1, 2025, where the PSC invited qualified Kenyans to apply for the positions.
Interested and qualified individuals were encouraged to submit their applications online through the Commission’s website or jobs portal with a deadline of April 22, 2025 by 5 pm.
