Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of a teacher from Alliance Girls High School.
PS Bitok has confirmed that he has engaged the Teacher’s Service Commission (TSC) and law enforcement agencies to ensure the implicated teacher is interdicted and prosecuted.
“The teacher is going to be punished. We have talked to TSC and all the other stakeholders to ensure that he is arrested”, he said.

“We are not going to condone any behaviour where teachers or any other stakeholders in schools take advantage of our children. We want to condemn in the strongest terms possible any conduct by teachers, staff, or anyone who seeks to exploit students sexually. As the government, we are saying such behaviour will not be tolerated”, he added.
The PS also emphasised that the issue extends beyond one institution, warning that any similar cases in schools across the country will be met with swift and decisive action.
