President William Ruto has awarded a charter to Riara University making it a fully accredited higher learning institution.
The Head of State applauded the Institution for its commitment to improving the quality of education by strengthening the university sector’s capacity.
He also praised the Riara Group founders, Daniel Gachukia and Prof.Eddah for their impact and legacy which he confidently noted will leave an indelible mark in the education sector.
“Their work over the past 50 years has positively shaped the landscape of Kenya, teaching and learning, touching thousands of lives and positively affecting the destinies of many” the Head of State noted.
The two were awarded with Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS).
A university charter is the highest level of certification for universities in Kenya.
