Former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru and Former nominated Senator Millicent Omanga have landed government jobs.
The appointments were announced though a gazette notice Saturday, 25th October 2024.
The notice stated that Margaret Wanjiru had been appointed as the chairperson of the Nairobi Rivers Commission.

Millicent Omanga on the other hand was appointed as a member of the same commission.
The President therefore moved the Nairobi Rivers commission from the Office of the President to the Ministers of Lands, Housing and Urban development.
The Nairobi Rivers Commission was inaugurated in February 2023.
The commission had been established in December 2022 to review past efforts to rehabilitate the river and integrate valuable lessons into the current initiative.
Both Wanjiru and Millicent had been appointed as the chief administrative secretaries in the ministries of Interior and co-operatives, but the appointments were declared null and void by the courts while led to the jobs they have landed in Nairobi River’s commission.
Margaret Ogola takes over Pamela Olet who had been fired as the chairperson of Nairobi Rivers Commission.
Millicent Omanga will fill the role that the role that was previously held by the former Kiambu county Governor Ferdinand Waititu whose appointment was refused in court.
