A police officer from Tembelio Police Post has been nabbed after he allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend and another lover.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred around midnight at Kokwer Bar, a local pub in the Jua Kali area of Turbo.
According to a police officer, the officer confronted his girlfriend over suspicion of infidelity, and when the other man attempted to intervene and defuse the situation, the suspects allegedly opened fire, fatally shooting both.
Fellow officers who responded to the scene arrested and disarmed the suspect shortly after the shooting.
He is currently being held at a local police station in Eldoret as investigation continues.
The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) mortuary in Eldoret.
