Prominent ‘Niko Kadi’ mobilizer Allans Ademba was reportedly apprehended by the police.
Taking to his X account, the popular activist shared that he was arrested at Ol Kalou and was taken to the Ol Kalou DCI offices.
“I’ve been arrested. Niko Ol Kalau DCI…” he stated.
However, Ademba did not immediately provide further details of the arrest or specify where exactly he was being held.
Before the arrest, Ademba had shared photos of his presence in Ol Kalou, claiming that only those who voted in 2022 were being allowed to vote in the ongoing by-elections.
According to his earlier post, newly registered voters were not allowed to vote under IEBC rules
“Ol Kalau residents have turned out in large numbers to vote. NOTE: Only those who voted in 2022 are being allowed to vote. The newly registered voters are not allowed to vote as per the IEBC Rules”, he wrote.
Ademba had also shared a video of voters lining up at the AC polling station.
