White smoke has been witnessed rising above the Sistine Chapel, which is a signal that the cardinals have chosen a new Pope.
The new Pope has been chosen on the second day of the conclave, although his identity and name is yet to be revealed.
According to the Pope’s elections, once a candidate receives two-thirds of the vote, he will be asked if he accepts the canonical election as Supreme Pontiff and the name he would wish to be called.
