Several victims of the alleged organ trafficking controversy in Eldoret have now claimed that their livers are in danger.
“After I exposed all these things, people have since been following me, and I feel so scared. I have been reporting, but no one wants to listen to my report”, one of the victims said.
“I saw the person approaching me while I was heading home from the shop. When I turned and spotted him, he pretended to be going back to the shop”, another victim stated.
Their concern comes after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) disclosed the commencement of investigations into the organ trafficking by Mediheal Group of Hospitals.
“The Transitional Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) of the DCI has taken over for investigation, the case where Mediheal Hospital has been implicated in the trafficking of human organs harvested as its Fertility and Transport Centre in Eldoret”, the DCI stated.
