Media personality Oga Obinna has announced the suspension of all personal, one-on-one assistance to individuals seeking his help, citing persistent online defamation and malicious trolling.
In a statement issued on Thursday, October 9, Obinna revealed that he will no longer offer direct charitable interventions outside his foundation, effective immediately.
The decision follows a wave of online criticism directed at him after the death of Gengetone artist Shalkido, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident along Thika Road on Monday, October 7.

According to the statement, the suspension applies to all forms of personal assistance that Obinna previously extended to Kenyans in need, as he moves to channel all support efforts exclusively through his foundation.
Obinna went on to issue a stern warning to bloggers and content creators, stating that he will not hesitate to take legal action against anyone publishing unverified or defamatory content about him.
Obinna’s decision follows backlash after the death of Gengetone artist Shalkido, who died in a motorcycle crash near Roysambu.
The comedian, who had been with the artist shortly before the accident, faced criticism from social media users questioning his involvement prior to the tragedy.
