Orange Democratic Movement has announced the dates for upcoming County Delegates elections in Taita Taveta and Kisumu counties.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, May 13, National Elections Coordinating Committee Chairperson Emily Awitta said the Taita Taveta County delegates election will be conducted on May 22, 2026.
Awitta further announced that the Kisumu County delegates election is scheduled for June 5, 2026, while the Nyando Branch delegates election will be held on May 29.

According to the party, all the elections will be conducted between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm on the respective dates.
Emily Awitta urged eligible delegates to apply for various leadership positions at the branch and county levels within the Orange Democratic Movement party structure.
The announcement comes a day after ODM invited members interested in vying for elective seats in the 2027 General Election on the party ticket to submit their applications.
According to the party, the recruitment exercise is being conducted in line with provisions of the ODM Constitution and the party’s Elections and Nomination Rules.
Applications are open for several positions, including President, Governor, Senator, Woman Representative, Member of the National Assembly, and Member of the County Assembly.
Awitta noted that all applicants must be registered voters to qualify for consideration and directed interested aspirants to submit their applications through the party’s online portal before June 30, 2026.
