Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Oburu Oginga has held talks with National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed, just a day after meeting with Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.
In a statement released on Thursday, January 8, the party confirmed that Junet paid a courtesy call to Oburu at his Nairobi office, where the two leaders held a closed-door meeting.
ODM said the discussions focused on party affairs, its growth, and the current political climate in the country.

The meeting came barely 24 hours after Oburu engaged Sifuna, signaling a series of consultations with senior party officials amid ongoing internal party developments.
Following his meeting with Sifuna on Wednesday, Oburu commended the Secretary General, describing him as a steady and principled figure within the party leadership.
The ODM leader said Sifuna embodies the democratic values the party stands for, noting that the engagement reaffirmed unity within ODM despite differing opinions.
Oburu also emphasized the importance of open dialogue, saying leaders should encourage free expression of ideas.
He added that healthy debate strengthens political parties and stressed that ODM’s future progress and continuity largely rest in the hands of young leaders.
The meetings come against the backdrop of a public fallout between Sifuna and Junet over the handling of campaign funds during the 2022 General Election.
Sifuna had accused Junet of misappropriating money meant for election agents, alleging the funds provided by former President Uhuru Kenyatta were pocketed instead of being distributed.
In response, Junet dismissed the claims, saying the money was never handled through party structures and was instead released to Uhuru’s brother, Muhoho Kenyatta, who appointed another individual to oversee recruitment and payments.
