Nyandarua Senator John Methu Wants President Ruto to resign over the rise in abductions

Nyandarua Senator John Methu has demanded President William Ruto resign over the rise in abductions in the country.

“President Ruto has lost the moral authority and character, has shaken our very Christian foundations, has lost the presidential stature and allure, and has also failed the leadership and integrity test for his continuous breach of our constitution and must therefore immediately resign from office,” Ruto stated.

According to him, President Ruto can no longer assure the country there is no secret force being used in the abductions.

\"Senator\"

Senator Methu based his calls on the revelations made by Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi, who revealed that Ruto’s intervention led to the release of his son, Leslie, who was abducted last year.

The senator is a member of President Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA), which has begun to show signs of cracks since the ouster of Gachagua.

Moreover,t his is the first time a member of the party has directly asked the party leader to resign.
