Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo might face impeachment after an ouster motion was tabled before the County Assembly on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Nyamira MCAs have tabled an impeachment motion against Governor Nyaribo, citing allegations of gross misconduct, abuse of office, and irregular appointments.
The motion which was filed by Bonyamatuta Ward MCA Julius Kimwomi Matwere, who accused the governor of abuse of office.
“I wish to give notice of motion for the removal of Honourable Nyaribo, the governor of Nyamira County, from office by way of impeachment on the following grounds: number one, gross violation of the Constitution of Kenya and other laws, and two, abuse of office,” the MCA stated.
