Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja has been hospitalised in London.
This was confirmed by Governor Susan Kihika during an interview at a station on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
“I want to wish a quick recovery to Senator Tabitha Karanja, I know she is in the hospital in London”, Kihika said.
“I was taught if someone is sick and you do not agree with one another, you are not supposed to punch someone who is down”, she added without mentioning further details about her health.
This comes weeks after Senator Tabitha Karanja slammed Kihika’s maternity leave, saying that her counterpart had not communicated clearly with the people of Nakuru.
“Our concern is not that our governor, Susan Kihika, went to give birth. I congratulate her and we love to thank God on her behalf because that is a double blessing. The County government is at a standstill as we speak. Our major concern is that there were serious issues left behind, including the reopening of War Memorial Hospital, which the court ordered to be reopened last year, yet up to now, it has not been opened”, she said.
While responding to this, the Nakuru Governor said that children are a blessing from God and leaders are expected to have kids, have a family and lead.
