Several people were injured early on Monday morning following a serious road accident at Magina Centre along the busy Nairobi–Naivasha Highway.
The collision involved a passenger bus and a lorry, causing major disruption on the heavily used transport corridor, especially during the holiday season.
Eyewitnesses reported that the crash occurred when the lorry veered into the opposite lane, striking the oncoming bus and causing significant front-end damage.

The impact was concentrated at the front, leaving the driver and several passengers seated in the front rows injured.
Rainy conditions at the time are believed to have hampered rescue efforts and may have contributed to the severity of the collision.
Emergency response teams were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide first aid and evacuate the injured to nearby health facilities.
The incident comes days after Chief Justice Martha Koome announced new road safety measures aimed at reducing traffic accidents and fatalities during the festive season and beyond.
On Monday, December 15, Koome noted that the government, in collaboration with justice and security agencies, had agreed to adopt a coordinated approach to enhance road safety nationwide.
The measures are intended to prevent traffic-related deaths, particularly among innocent pedestrians and motorists affected by the actions of others.
Authorities emphasized the need for motorists to avoid speeding, drunk driving, and dangerous overtaking during the holiday period.
