Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has demanded Ksh128.5 billion from the United States.
In a statement on X on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, Muhoozi demanded that the money be paid, claiming that it is owed to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).
“I stilll demand $ 1 billion from the USA for the UPDF annually. And they will pay it,” Muhoozi stated.
“I may have strong differences with a Senator in the United States, but I can never have differences with the King-Emperor His Majesty Charles III. He is my king too,” he added.
This was after Muhoozi had suspended cooperation with the US embassy in Kampala before deleting the tweets and apologising.
The US Senator in response to the matter claimed that Muhoozi cannot make such claims and ask for forgiveness forgetting the innocents involved.
