Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) has warned members of the public against a fake training advertisement circulating on social media, saying the post is fraudulent and does not originate from the institution.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, May 19, the hospital clarified that the misleading advert is being shared online without its approval and urged the public to disregard it.
MTRH further noted that all official announcements, including training opportunities, job vacancies, and other notices, are only published through authorized channels.

The hospital emphasized that genuine updates are shared exclusively via the MyGov publication platform and its official website.
The referral hospital also cautioned members of the public against sharing personal information or sending money in response to fraudulent posts, urging them to rely only on verified communication channels for accurate updates.
The warning follows growing concerns over fake online advertisements targeting unsuspecting individuals with bogus training opportunities.
In a related incident, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) recently warned the public against a fake training advert claiming to promote a Senior School Assessment workshop for education officials.
KNEC distanced itself from the notice, clarifying that it is neither organising nor involved in the alleged workshop, which had falsely indicated a fee requirement and a venue at Kenyatta University.
They cautioned the public against a fake training advert circulating online, stressing that it does not collect money from stakeholders for assessment training.
The council warned that fraudsters are using its name and logo to deceive members of the public, urging vigilance against such scams.
The fake poster claims to advertise a senior school assessment workshop on curriculum implementation and includes false payment and contact details that KNEC has disowned.
