Members of Parliament have summoned Lands Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome and Principal Secretary Nickson Korir to shed light on the ownership of a land located in Nairobi’s Lower Kabete area.
This comes after the former Provincial Commissioner Davis Chelogoi called on the National Assembly’s Land Committee to intervene over his alleged eviction from the land.
Appearing before the Committee on Wednesday, August 27, Chelogoi claimed the land ownership which he alleged to have acquired through the late former President Daniel Arap Moi.
“I have gone to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) to try and tell them my situation. I wanted to ask him to summon the officers,” he stated.
“This Committee is my last hope because I have tried reaching out to all offices, including the Ministry of Lands, to no avail,” Chelogoi added.
