According to the service, the latest arrests followed an operation led by officers from Keumbu Police Station and detectives from DCI Kisii Central.
Investigations remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and identify any other individuals who may have participated.
The police reiterated their commitment to protecting lives and property, saying they would continue taking action against those found responsible for acts that threaten public safety or disrupt public order.
The latest developments come a day after the DCI announced the arrest of three suspects identified as Allan Masese Onyambu, Godfrey Bosire Mokaya and Stanley Okeyo.
The agency said the three were in police custody awaiting processing and arraignment, adding that detectives were pursuing more suspects linked to the attack.
The Linda Mwananchi convoy came under attack at Keumbu Market along the Kisii–Keroka highway on Friday afternoon, with several vehicles reportedly being stoned and damaged.
Following the incident, Siaya Governor James Orengo condemned the violence and alleged that police officers had escorted the individuals responsible for attacking the convoy.
