National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula is set to represent President William Ruto at the burial of Pope Francis on Saturday, April 26.
Speaking during the offering of condolences at the Apostolic Nunciature in Nairobi, the speaker disclosed that the Head of State had nominated Kenya to represent him at the burial event
Wetang’ula is now set to leave the country on April 24, in the evening, to attend the funeral.

“So I’ll be leaving tonight for Rome to and join other world leaders in sending off our Pope. Kenya remains profoundly part of the family of progressive leadership of our church, the catholic church and all churches and teh fraternity of churches because at the end of the day, we believe in one God”, he said.
The funeral mass will take place in St. Peter’s Square.
Other leaders who are set to attend include President Donald Trump of United States, Prince William and France President Emmanuel Macron.
