Former Public Service CS Moses Kuria has alleged that a plot is underway to disrupt former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s campaign tour in Mbeere North, Embu County.
In a statement on Tuesday, November 11, Kuria claimed that individuals dressed in Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) uniforms were planning to create chaos during the tour.
He further alleged that the group intended to demand Ksh10 million from Gachagua, reportedly linked to CCK’s Mbeere North candidate, Duncan Mbui.

The former Presidential advisor clarified that Gachagua does not owe any money to Duncan Mbui.
Kuria emphasized that his party has adopted a zero-tolerance stance on electoral violence, citing lessons from the 2007-2008 period.
He stressed that this principle is non-negotiable and urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to take the issue seriously, noting that events on November 27 could foreshadow what may happen on August 10, 2027.
ThIS comes days after Kuria criticized the IEBC over a threatening video aimed at Gachagua ahead of his Mbeere North tour.
In a statement on Monday, November 10, he raised concerns about the fairness of the 2027 elections, noting that repeated discussions with the Electoral Operations Commissioner had yielded no action.
