An Autopsy confirmed by Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor has uncovered that Richard Otieno died from severe injuries inflicted by a sharp object.
The autopsy was revealed on 24th January 2025.
Otieno had reported living in fear of his life after two previous attempts of his murder that left him with injuries.
This was before the tragic incident that left him with deep cuts on the head as narrated by his wife.

It was reported that Otieno was attacked and killed by unknown assailants on a Saturday night as he was heading home just 200 meters from Elburgon Police Station.
The deceased was found dumped in a Thicket near the Molo River in Turi on Sunday.
The late Richard had several injuries. There were multiple slash wounds on the back of the head, which led to the fracture of the skull and extensive bleeding of the brain. There were also some slash wounds on the frontal area of the skull as well as bruising on the face.
The government pathologist Oduor stated.
From these findings, we can conclude that the late Richard died as a result of a severe head injury that was caused by a sharp object. This could either be a panga or an axe, which was used severely on the head.
Oduor added.
