Following a meeting of all members of Staff of Moi University, it has been decided that the industrial action commenced last year in August 2024 be resumed with immediate effect.
The notice stated.
The immediate strike meant withdrawal of all the services of the employer as stated by UASU and KUSU.
This means staff are withdrawing all their services to the employer. This regrettable action is occasioned by failure of the employer to adhere to the Return-to-work Formula signed between the parties.
The notice further stated.
The deal which had been signed before included the government’s commitment to fully implement the 2021-2025 collective bargaining agreement (CBA) which is valued at Ksh. 9.7 billion and the implementation would occur in three tranches as follows: Ksh 4.3 billion covering nine months up to June 2025 and Ksh. 5.4 billion disbursed in two installments of each Ksh. 2.7 billion.

The only thing certain in Moi University is the constant unending strikes. Other important things such as uninterrupted learning are unheard of.
