Moi Forces Academy Lanet has temporarily closed for Grade 10 and Form Three students following a series of school fire incidents reported across the country.
The school informed parents and guardians that the decision was taken as a precautionary measure aimed at safeguarding learners amid growing concerns over unrest and fire outbreaks in learning institutions.
According to the notice, students were scheduled to leave for a short break on Wednesday, June 3, with parents and guardians required to personally collect them from the school.

The administration emphasized that no student would be released without being accompanied by a recognized parent or guardian.
The move comes just days after students at Lenana School were sent home indefinitely following unrest at the institution.
School management said the closure was necessary to allow investigations into the disturbances and to restore normalcy before learning resumes.
Parents at Lenana School were similarly directed to pick up their children from the institution, with the school indicating that a return date would be communicated once assessments and necessary arrangements had been completed.
The recent closures come amid heightened concern over cases of student unrest and school fires reported in various parts of the country.
