Millie Odhiambo breaks the silence on gender-based violence

“Say no to gender-based violence. Gender-based violence affects both men and women, but women are disproportionately affected. The fact that there is an alleged morality issue does not excuse violence”, Millie Odhiambo stated.

She further said that any man or woman dumped by their partner should simply accept and move on instead of resorting to violence.

“Ukiachwa, accept and move on. Should it be true that a married man was involved, he may lose his freedom and his job and cause stigma to his children and wife [that he has already brought into the public limelight unfairly]. Violence is never a solution,” the Suba North MP added.
