Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been feted with two global international awards.
In a statement on his official X account on Monday, August 4, Sonko said that he was awarded the Civility Voice Diplomats Global Humanitarian Award.
“The awards were presented to me at my Upper Hill office during two distinct ceremonies. In the first ceremony, I was honoured with the Civility Voice Diplomats Global Humanitarian Award in recognition of my unwavering dedication to promoting peace, civility, and humanitarian values on a global scale,” Sonko said.
“In the second award, the Builders in Action awarded me the I Change Nations Builders In Action Legacy Award. This award recognises my unwavering dedication to enhancing the lives of others by making personal sacrifices in terms of both time and resources,” he added.
Sonko further affirmed that he will not backstep in his efforts to ensure that the lives of underprivileged members of society are elevated.
