People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua has dismissed reports suggesting that she has thrown her weight behind President Ruto’s leadership.
In a statement on September 2, Karua termed the claims as fake and misleading, clarifying that she has no association with the statements attributed to her.
The graphic, shared by various users on social media, falsely portrayed Karua as praising Ruto’s courage in tackling cartels.

This comes barely days after DAP-K Party leader Eugene Wamalwa also dismissed claims of a fallout with former DP Rigathi Gachagua, terming the reports as fake news.
An image circulating online alleged that Wamalwa and former Public Service CS Justin Muturi had disagreed with Gachagua over the positioning of political parties and candidates.
However, in a statement, Wamalwa refuted the claims, stating that the reports were fabricated and meant to cause unnecessary tension.
