Ex-Chief Justice David Maraga has revealed that he will rely on contributions from Kenyans to fund his 2027 presidential campaign.
Speaking during a recent interview, Maraga noted that he is confident that Kenyans will contribute to his campaign.
“We will require a substantial amount of money. We are going to appeal to Kenyans to contribute to our campaign, and it is going to succeed. Kenyans will themselves fund this election,” said Maraga.

According to Maraga, he plans to contribute between Ksh1 million and Ksh2 million into his campaign kitty.
The ex-CJ went on to note that Kenyans will contribute as low as Ksh50 and the funds will help in his 2027 campaigns.
If elected, Maraga said he will appoint competent professionals in their respective areas and allow them to work freely.
The former CJ moreover mentioned that professionals are not being given opportunities in the current regime.
Maraga further criticized Ruto’s administration over poor management, stating that several large corporations have shut down and relocated to other countries.
