Manchester United’s misery in the Premier League continued with a defeat in North London.James Maddison scored the only goal of the game as Tottenham beat Manchester United 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
United were looking for revenge against Spurs after the 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford in September which failed as they only got another disappointed evening on the road.
A James Maddison first-half strike, which left Manchester United defenders people-watching, was the difference at the break, but the Red Devils didn’t respond.
Rúben Amorim: “I have a lot of problems, my job is so, so hard here. But I stick with my beliefs”.
The visitors did have chances to level, with Alejandro Garnacho lofting an effort over the bar when through on goal in the first half – but this was ultimately another uninspired United display.
However, this result means the North London side have won three times against United this season.
United have now slumped down to 15th in the Premier League table and have been leapfrogged by Spurts. Amorim’s side sit just 12 points clear of the relegation zone.
