LSK President Faith Odhiambo Honored with Commonwealth Law Conference Rule of Law Award

The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President has won the seventh Commonwealth Law Conference (CLC) Rule of Law Award 2025.

She was honored by the Commonwealth Lawyers Association based (CLA) in England.

The CLC is a prestigious biennial event organized by the CLA that brings together legal practitioners, senior justice leader, members of the judiciary, academics and emerging young legal talent from across the commonwealth to discuss pressing legal issues and network.

The Association praised Odhiambo for the role she has played especially during the 2024 Gen-Z inspired anti-Finance Bill.

The LSK president consistently advocated for the safety of the protesters and demanded the release of those who were arrested and abducted.

Apart from that, she brought home one of abductees who went missing since October Simon Muteti and confirmed that he was alive.

She received the award alongside Paul Muite who was recognized for his courageous defense of the Bill of Rights and contribution to law development that led to Kenya’s new constitutional order.

Odhiambo was also awarded 2024 Jurist of the year in December for her outstanding role in defending the rights of protesters during the Anti-Finance Bill protest 2024.
