Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has issued a seven-day notice for members of the public to identify and collect unclaimed bodies held at its Farewell Home.
According to the hospital, it is holding a number of unclaimed bodies and has called on interested members of the public to come forward and identify them.
The notice has been issued pursuant to the Public Health Act, Cap 242, and the Public Health (Public Mortuaries) Rules, 1991.

“Interested members of the public are therefore requested to identify and collect the bodies within seven days, failure to which the hospital will seek authority from the courts to dispose of them,” KNH said.
Additionally, the hospital has published a list of the unclaimed bodies as part of the notice.
Furthermore, members of the public who may have information about the identity of the deceased or their relatives have been urged to contact KNH within the seven days.
